Daily Azalea is a digest: headlines, short summaries and links to technology reporting about Japan and the wider Asia-Pacific region. These terms apply to anyone reading daily-azalea.com. Using the site means you accept them; if you do not, simply close the tab, as there is nothing else to cancel.

The reporting behind each headline belongs to the publisher it links to. Headlines are reproduced as the publisher wrote them so readers can find the original. The one- or two-sentence summaries, the topic grouping and the page design are Daily Azalea's own work.

You may link to any page here and quote a summary with a credit to Daily Azalea and a link back. Republishing the rack in bulk, scraping it into another product or feeding it into a commercial dataset requires a licence; ask at desk@daily-azalea.com.

Summaries are written by editors who read the source, often in Japanese, and are checked before publication. They remain summaries. Take figures, dates and quotations from the original article before relying on them for an investment, procurement or policy decision. Nothing on this site is financial or legal advice.

If a summary misstates its source, or a publisher wants a link removed, write to the desk. We review every request within one business day, correct errors with a dated note at the top of the page, and remove links at a publisher's request without argument.

Clicking a card takes you to a site we do not run. Paywalls, cookies and terms there are the publisher's. We choose sources carefully but cannot answer for their content or availability, and a link that has broken since we posted it is no promise that the story still exists.

The rack is refreshed every weekday morning, Japan Standard Time. Updates may pause over public holidays or during maintenance, and older pages may be archived or removed without notice.

To the extent Japanese law permits, Daily Azalea is not liable for loss arising from reliance on a summary, from a third-party site, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for intent or gross negligence.

We may revise these terms; the revision date above shows the version in force. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction at first instance over any dispute arising from them.

Some items on the rack come from Japanese-language sources. When a publisher has no English headline, our editors translate it. Those translations are ours, may differ from any official English version released later, and are marked by the link to the Japanese original.

Research teams, corporate intelligence functions and academic institutions can license the summaries for internal use. The price depends on volume and use case, and the licence is agreed in writing. Where a written licence exists, its terms take precedence over this page for the licensed use.

Search engines and feed readers are welcome; the RSS feed exists for exactly that. Please do not hammer the site with automated requests, try to break its security, or frame its pages inside another site as if they were your own.

The RSS feed at /feed.xml carries the same headlines and summaries as the rack and falls under these same terms. Reading it in a feed reader is exactly what it is for; republishing it on another public site counts as republishing the rack and needs a licence.
